Post Trip Report: The Linda Davis Memorial Hike was a success another year. Eleven hikers were eager to begin on this brisk, beautiful fall morning. The temperature was high 30's at the beginning. We began at Coolidge Park to begin the 8 mile hike and ended at Chickamauga Dam. The actual greenway is 10 miles and begins near the Southern Belle parking lot. It was a great day to work off the Thanksgiving meal and begin our New Year's Resolution early. Hikers Carol Guhne, Virginia Orr, Jane Bohannon, Sonni Campbell [new member], Esther and Ronald Nunley and thier niece Courtney Griby, Becky Levings, Dee Harwell and Sheila Bailey from Dalton, GA and myself, Belinda Mantooth. Steve Mantooth was our shuttle bunny since he just had shoulder surgery. The day ended at in mid 50's and lunch at "The Boathouse" along the greenway. A toast was made in honor of Linda Davis who started this Urban Hike and a dedicated hiker of our club who passed way 2 1/2 years ago.
