Leader: Clayton Pannell, 263-9730, crpannell@comcast.net
Length: 11.0 miles

Directions to the Trailhead: Meet in Etowah at the Bi-Lo at 8:00 AM to car pool to Iron Gap on Chestnut Mountain.
Post Trip Report:
Three hikers made the hike starting at Iron Gap on the Chestnut Mountain Trail through the Gee Creek Wilderness. This trail was once an old road. We had some good views into the Gee Creek Wilderness and into the valley around Wetmore. The Coffee Branch Trail was a jeep road at one time but now is only for horses and hikers. It is in very good shape and one could drive on it if the gate were open. This was a great day for a hike with no rain - not even a cloud in the sky.
